Poll surveys show that one third of the American public make
a new year’s resolution to lose weight. Respondents who made a resolution to
lose weight said their goal was between 10 and 29 pounds, 48 percent. The

This is the best time of year for gyms and personal
trainers. These people are referred to as the “new year’s resolution crowd”.
Gyms bank on these potential customers. They are guaranteed their share of the
masses for at least three months. They put heavy marketing into driving as many
of these people to their gym as possible.
Here at ATT Altitude, we want you during the holiday season.
This is the time to boost your metabolism and maintain your weight through the
holidays and make your true goal weight easily attainable in the New Year.
A person weighs 200lbs and wishes to get down to a healthy
weight of 160lbs. They plan to make this their new year’s resolution…but it’s the
first week of November. Over the holidays they gain 20lbs, all the while
telling themselves they will eventually start their weight loss January 1st…so
all the weight gain is okay…isn’t it? When the new year rolls around, they are
220lbs and now have to bust their rump to get back down to 200lbs, that 160lbs
is a memory, or a destination that moved further down the road. They will now
take twice as much time to reach your initial target weight. That’s if they
stick to the resolution.
Let’s get you fired up now. At least begin the exercise
portion of your weight loss. Let us kick start your metabolism and mitigate the
damage of holiday eating. Our fitness programs and top-notch trainers are the
perfect recipe for maintaining your weight through the holidays. More than
likely you will begin your weight loss early. As far as New Year’s resolutions,
always remember, fitness is a journey…not a destination. Start your journey and
enjoy the ride.
